Team Members (from left to right): Chanitsara Kongkalai, Xiaohan Liu, Thanyachanok Aroonyadej, Thu Yein Tun & Mohamed Thameem

This project aims to identify and understand the game market especially brain and puzzle games industry. As well as to positioning Braintastiq to seek opportunities to compete with its competitors and to develop a prototype of a brain game which consists of two segments, the first being the framework for the main game including the board, and a set of small mini games. But we will be focusing on the first part of the game prototype. Primary and secondary research is being used, where primary research is from conducting a survey. The group conducted both online and offline survey and were able to attain 140 responses ( 100 online, 40 offline ). Based on the result of the survey we have derived a few conclusive facts. Many people prefer mobile platform such as smart phones, followed closely by the handheld consoles. Users prefer puzzle and brain games genre instead of other genre. Furthermore the most effective marketing channel for games is through social media.
