PROF. KEN GREENWOOD
Professor Ken Greenwood is the Dean of Research and Professor of Psychology at the Singapore campus of James Cook University (JCU). Prior to this appointment, Ken was Executive Dean of the Faculty of Health, Engineering and Science and Pro-Vice-Chancellor: Engagement (Science, Technology and Engineering) at Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia. Ken worked previously at RMIT University, the University of Canberra, La Trobe University and Lincoln Institute of Health Sciences. Professor Greenwood has worked as an academic all of his life and contributed both as an educator and as a researcher. He has more than 130 publications in international journals and has been successful in having his work supported by grants from various bodies including the ARC and the NHMRC. He has taught extensively across the range of undergraduate and postgraduate subjects and across a range of content areas in his own discipline of psychology. He has been an active contributor in the development of new courses and in professional accreditation activities. He has been actively sought after as a supervisor of graduate students and has been involved in the supervision of more than 40 completed postgraduate students.
Professor Greenwood holds the degrees of Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Honours), Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and Doctor of Philosophy from La Trobe University and Doctor of Psychology from Swinburne University of Technology. He is a registered Psychologist in Australia with endorsements in Counselling Psychology and Health Psychology and a member of the Australian Psychological Society and the College of Counselling Psychologists and College of Health Psychologists.

DR. JENNY H. PANCHAL
Jenny Panchal obtained her PhD in Tourism from James Cook University in Townsville under the supervision of Tourism Foundation Professor Philip Pearce and Associate Professor Laurie Murphy. Her doctorate thesis focused on tourist spa experiences in Asia. More specifically, she examined tourist spa-goers’ motivations, flow experiences and perceived benefits of visiting spas while on holiday. While on her PhD candidature, Jenny started teaching tourism subjects in the undergraduate level in Townsville. In early 2013, she moved to JCU Singapore where she now teaches tourism in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervises higher degree research students. Jenny has worked with many students in enriching student life on JCU Singapore campus. She founded JCU’s Tourism, Hospitality, Events & Sports Students’ (THESS) Club, and established the JCU Pride of Place (POP) Series which features various countries and cultures. The POP Series events in particular are designed to encourage JCU students and staff to foster global citizenship, embrace diversity, and emphasise on JCU's tropical agenda while creating authentic learning experiences. Jenny is actively involved in the ASEAN Tourism Research Association (ATRA) where she is currently the Deputy Secretary General.

DR. HUIPING ZHANG
Huiping Zhang has been employed as a Senior Lecturer of Business at JCU Singapore. She teaches business courses such as accounting and finance for managers at the MBA level and multinational business finance for undergraduates. Her research focuses on the effects of liquidity on asset returns, and empirical asset pricing in the international stock markets. She has published several articles in the world leading finance journals such as Journal of Financial Economics. Prior to her joining of JCU Singapore, Dr. Zhang was an Associate Professor in Finance at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics in China, where she worked as an Assistant Professor in Finance from Sep 2011 to Jun 2015.

DR. WESLEY KENDALL

Dr. Wesley Kendall is an experienced educator who has taught a range of subjects across diverse academic disciplines such as law, government and international business. As a scholar Dr. Kendall has published several books and peer reviewed articles in international journals on topics which explore the intersections between law, political science and history. Dr. Kendall is also an accomplished attorney with a strong background commercial transactions, criminal and contract law. He has taught at universities in America, China, Fiji and Vietnam.

DR. TANG CHUN MENG
Dr Tang has taught business and information technology courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. To enhance learning delivery, he continues to keep abreast of the latest developments in business and information technology. He also has many years of experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students in their dissertations. Dr Tang has actively conducted research in the area of business information systems (IS). His major research areas include IS evaluation, strategic IS, and IS business alignment. He has received research grants, published journal papers, conference papers and book chapters, as well as edited various books. He is familiar with both quantitative and qualitative research methods. Armed with the latest trends in technology, knowledge of successful business IT case studies and best practices, a good understanding of both the business and technology aspects, coupled with strong research skills, Dr Tang has provided professional and affordable IT advisory, business analytics, and marketing research services specifically to small and medium-sized businesses. Dr Tang is a member of APICS, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is also a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), PRINCE2 Practitioner, and Project Management Professional (PMP).

Happily married to a school teacher, Clinton Lim has two daughters. A former licensed trainer of Dr. Tony Buzan, in thinking skills, his “neuro journey” began when he was inspired by his daughters, both of whom qualified for membership of Mensa Singapore, when they turned 11. He then read voraciously about psychology, the human brain, how to manage gifted children etc. This led him to invent a board game that gamifies the process of learning, thinking and creativity. It has been granted 1 Singapore and 2 USA patents. The business objective of Braintastiq Global Holdings is to globalize its brain games to 40 or more countries.

MR. DARREN TAN
As a Senior Relationship Manager at CPA Australia, Darren develops and manages relationships with key stakeholders in a portfolio of tertiary institutions to obtain support for CPA Australia’s initiatives and activities. With an evolving education landscape, Darren seeks innovative ways to engage students, manage expectations of different cultural groups and maintain knowledge of the tertiary sector. Aside from inspiring young minds through campus talks, he works closely with student bodies and CPA student ambassadors to further CPA Australia’s cause.

MR. ZEB LIM
Mr Zeb Lim is currently working as a Career Counsellor at James Cook University, Singapore. This role is very fulfilling as he helps others find a career just as he had help in finding my own career. He had a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from University of Kansas and had completed PhD coursework and comprehensive exam in Counseling Psychology before quitting his program in early January 2013 to pursue other life opportunities. His past experience includes working in the University of Kansas Career Center offering career counseling and interventions to university students. He had also provided services at the Douglas County Jail in Kansas, offering individual and group therapy and the occasional crisis intervention. At the jail, he created and led mindfulness meditation groups for young adults who are suffering from anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues among other psychological disorders. When he was working at the Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center, he taught Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills group and used mindfulness practices to help clients relax and heal. He enjoyed providing mindfulness based therapy and he looks forward to continue learning and using mindfulness and loving kindness practices in his work as a Counseling Psychologist. Right now, he loves helping his students launch their adult life with the right career as a Career Counsellor at James Cook University, Singapore campus.

DR. ADRIAN BRADSHAW

Adrian Bradshaw is employed as a Lecturer of Business at JCU, Singapore. He holds a BSc in computer science and an MPhil in Physics from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados. Adrian received his PhD in Management at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand. His interest in information technology was the key driver for his career in information technology management, administration and support. During this period he was involved in and managed information technology projects and was actively involved in information technology security and administration. It was his experience in information technology management that led him to undertake a PhD in management, bridging management and information technology to understand the impact that IT experts have on knowledge and competences in small and medium-sized enterprises. Drawing on his experience in project management he has been involved with undergraduate students in the areas of computer programming, information technology project management and systems analysis and design. He has a keen interest in qualitative research and the application of qualitative methods to business management, project management and information systems development.

MS. PAMELA PILAPIL
Ms Pamela Wildheart Pilapil is a lecturer who “walks” the talk. She is a Media, Campaign, Advertising, Events & Hospitality strategist and practitioner in the industry. Formerly one of the most recognised voices in Singapore national radio as producer and presenter; she was also Head of Programming for an English Broadcast Station in Singapore for 7 years. Her broadcast experience allowed her to interview global celebrities, personalities and political icons. She then worked as senior management of 3 world-class attractions by Wildlife Reserves Singapore namely Singapore Zoo, Night Safari & Jurong BirdPark. It was then that her talents in advertising, public relations, events management, international sales, and creative and promotional strategy skills in tourism and leisure industry were challenged. She travelled and even hosted many of the Singapore Tourist Promotion Board’s Uniquely Singapore programmes to India, China, Australia, Korea and many other countries. As a lecturer, Pamela is well known to liven up classrooms with her vast experiences in three disciplines- Mass Communication (Radio, TV, New Media Production, Journalism & Practice), Marketing (Integrated Marketing Comm, Asia Pacific Marketing, Strategic Branding, Advertising) and Hospitality. She is a communication specialist with a vast experience and emphasis in GLOCAL challenges; she believes that while teaching students to go global and multicultural is essential, there must also be relevance to the current, local environment where one lives. In this way, students can apply their skills, adapt to changes and be hirable wherever they maybe. She has lectured for more than 20 years and has done thesis on the “Stop at Two” Policy of Singapore and NTUC Membership analysis in the past. Ms. Wildheart is also consultant to many global clients in their major campaigns for media, advertising, PR or Promotional Activities.
MR. SUHAIMY HASSAN

As an international relations and government liaison professional with over 15 years of experience in the higher education industry, Suhaimy Hassan has been at the forefront in promoting linkages in education not only between his native Singapore and Australia but between Singapore and countries in the Asia Pacific region. Suhaimy is currently the Associate Director (Government Relations & Strategic Communications) at James Cook University (JCU) campus in Singapore. His past appointments have included Director (Education) at the Australian Education International in Singapore; and Manager (International Relations) at the International Relations Office of National University of Singapore. He has developed considerable experience establishing institution-to-government, institution-to-institution and government-to-government connections. Specifically, he has been advancing transnational academic collaborations, negotiating the signing of cross border academic agreements, and, managing academic programs. His intimate knowledge of higher education policies and practices have been instrumental in his current role to drive the advocacy, government relations and media relations initiatives of JCU Singapore.

MS. JOAN BELEN
Ms Joan Belen was born in Manila, Philippines and she had been working in Singapore for almost 9 years. She obtained a Psychology degree and started my Master of Arts in Psychology education at the Philippine Women’s University, Manila Philippines. She had spent the majority of her Professional Career as a Student Counsellor. She had handled counselling programs involving Primary, Secondary and University students, with the bulk of her fifteen years of experience spent favourably handling young adults in the University. She received her Master of Guidance and Counselling post graduate degree from James Cook University Singapore in December 2016. She is also currently working in James Cook University Singapore. As the Student Counsellor, she is really enjoying her role in supporting and encouraging students to achieve positive personal and academic development. She is delighted to be working with students, educators, administrators, and parents whom she so highly regards. Ms Joan Belen enjoys spending her free time with her family who are currently in the Philippines so she makes it a point to go back to her home country as often as possible. Spending her time travelling, being outdoors and listening to good music captivates and inspires her soul. To her, all opportunities are created and major breakthroughs can come from anyone who can push beyond what is comfortable.

JENNIFER COBCROFT

Associate Professor Jennifer Cobcroft leads teaching and research in aquaculture at the Singapore campus of James Cook University (JCU). Previously, Jennifer consulted in the strategic planning of emerging aquaculture research opportunities in Australia, marine fish hatchery trouble-shooting (Australia, New Zealand, USA and Mexico), and in aquaculture development in eastern Africa (Tanzania and Kenya) and in South East Asia (Vietnam, Indonesia, Myanmar and Singapore). She is the current Secretary of the World Aquaculture Society (WAS), a former Board member of the Asian Pacific Chapter of WAS. Jennifer was previously a Research Fellow at the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, University of Tasmania, was leader of the Aquaculture Production Innovation Hub for the Australian Seafood CRC, and managed a large research and development program for hatchery production of southern bluefin tuna fingerlings in close association with industry. Associate Professor Cobcroft actively engages in sharing research results and novel technologies with students, industry, and scientists through workshops and practical training. She is passionate about equipping students and doing research that both contribute to the sustainable and profitable growth of the aquaculture industry.
