Accessible Tourism in Singapore Team Members (from left to right): Mohamed Shariq, Baadal Anup Daryani, Prasad Pushkal Sai & Joshua Wangsaputra

The main objective of this project is to research and find out the main barriers that tourists with disabilities and senior travelers and families travelling with kids face and how that can be overcome in order to welcome more tourists that will have issues with accessibility in to Singapore. Primary and secondary data were used in order to conduct research for the project. In the secondary research journal articles and past surveys were used and for the primary research a specific survey was taken with questionnaires designed specially for tourists who have visited Singapore. The research conducted found that people with disabilities travel less than people without any disabilities. In addition to this the primary research found out what stage of the travels people faced problems in regard to accessibility and how Singapore can improve in becoming more accessible. Many agreed transport was difficult during peak hours and people with accessibility problems should be given more protection and they should be well informed of the services available to them.
