Lake Toba is a destination with an abundance of potential. With the issues it is currently facing, the future of Lake Toba looks dimmer than it should. Lake Toba has been heavily polluted over the years due to numerous reasons. The main reason our group is focusing on would be the over populated fish cages. The main objective of this study is to restore Lake Toba to its original condition and to develop it into a tourist destination. We collected our data by handing out two qualitative surveys. One survey was for the locals and the other was for potential tourists. These surveys will help us understand the components obstructing Lake Toba from achieving its fullest potential and ways to curb these issues. The best long term solution we have discovered would be the BioHaven Floating Island. These man-made floating islands are ideal for aiding lake restoration. For our tourism plan, the concept of constructing river hotels at the Samosir regency and tree hotels at the North Tapanuli regency. The findings from the survey show that the locals are intrigued by this idea and the potential tourists would consider travelling Lake Toba if this idea is implemented.
